How do you change the focus on a Canon Rebel T3i?
Question by Iloveme: How do you change the focus on a Canon Rebel T3i?
Well, I recently bought a Canon Rebel T3i and every time I take a picture the focus is horrible it focuses on the background rather than the person. I’ve realized you have to it manually. So, all I’m trying to say is how do you change the focus. Thank you!

First….READ THE MANUAL….your camera manual will discuss that topic…
Second…take a beginners photography course at your local community college (or even camera shop).
Or….move the switch on the lens from AF to MF, then use the focus ring to adjust.

Rule # 1 – Read the Owners Manual
Rule # 2 – Read the Owners Manual
Rule # 3 – Read the Owners Manual
Rule # 4 – Start Back at Rule # 1 – Read the Owners Manual
This type of problem is actually actually covered in the Owners Manual.
Check the side of the lens where the AF/MF Toggle is sitting at.

I think you mean something different than switching between Auto Focus and Manual.
You want to choose where in the frame the camera focuses?
When looking through the view finder, hit the upper right hand button on the camera’s body (it has kinda like a cross above it).
In the frame you will see 9 red lights. Rotate the wheel until the red light above your intended subject is lit up.
Then take your photo
